May need something more practical...what to do?
Cool story bro. Tell it to someone that cares, you're a damn troll. I wrote a sentence, you wrote an essay, sounds like you're the one who is butthurt lol.
Anyways, I think he was looking at the BMW/infiniti option if he sold the s. Personally, I would go and test drive all the cars mentioned and see which one you like best. We can go back and forth on this car and that car, but at the end of the day you're going to make the decision and be stuck with it. If you're leaning more towards a Japanese import, or then go for one. I do agree with the above poster that you may want to adjust your requirements a bit.

So, since you brought it up, why do you claim I'm a troll? Did I start insulting people? Did I bash people? Are you still mad that I had the temerity to actually defend something GM did?! I mean there must be some reason why something I said was SO offensive and got your panties so bunched up that you felt the need to actually publicly cry about it. Tell me what it is so we can make it better.

However, we should do that via PM or a different thread. I don't wish to crap on the OP's thread so let's move the troll discussion off line.
Unless you have young kids and absolutely need backseats, keep the S2000 and buy a 2nd car to daily/commute in. You'll love the S2000 that much more. I have a S2000 as my weekend car and a TSX as a daily, and that is great combo. This is my 2nd S2K too, so I also know the feeling of regret from selling. BUT, now that I have two young kids and two car seats, the S2K almost never gets taken out of the garage, so I'm looking for that one do-it-all car. If I were single or childless though, I'd keep the S2K and TSX combo.
There is also the new Elantra thats super cheap, looks good and has that warranty. From the sounds of it you have a fairly uncommon S and the things you would replace it with aren't very comparable replacements.
I voted for the Civic/Fit solution. Personally, I've always had a "practical" car as a backup to any sports car I've owned. I had an 08 S2000 for three years and I had a Volvo XC90 and a Chrysler Pacifica Limited as backups. I actually used my S2000 as my daily driver but I knew going in that it simply was not going to be anything other than fun personal transportation. It won't haul much cargo and it won't do for family vacations or winter ski trips, etc.
I do regret getting rid of the S2000 on the one hand (maybe the best sports car I ever owned) but given the traffic in my area, the auto solution I went with has proven to be an all around more enjoyable solution for me. Still got the SUV's though.
