Hello guys...I was on here asking about the Saturn Sky...you guys were very informative with all the pros and cons of the car...I'm still shopping and come across the Mazda MX-5...please give some inputs...I am not asking for a comparison to the S2000 but just about the car on its own...Thanks...

 

Everyone here loves it. The only negative you'll hear on here is about its effeminate stigma, which you may or may not care about.

Nice car. I found the seats to be very uncomfortable and it didn't have as much recline as I want. Neither of those are problems for the S2000. The top design is nice. The nose is hideous and would keep me out of a Miata.

 

i checked out a 2003 and a 2007 - i prefer the exterior of 2003 miata, but interior wise 2007 is so much better.

i think they are both great.

 

Performance-wise for the price, it's a very good car. It just never did it for me because the S2000 is that much nicer and that much better performance.

And I apologize for comparing...but this is an S2000 forum so you have to expect that.

 

I have an NA Miata with a turbo kit. If you cn find me a better performing car for the price I'll punch my grandma. true story.

 

NC is a MUCH better car than the NA/NB all around I think. Yes it's slightly larger and heavier (not by much) but the interior is much more refined and roomy. The suspension is very good and shares many components with the RX-8 and the brakes are fantastic not to mention the engine has lot more grunt comparatively.

You can easily stuff 255 or wider tires and with a set of coilovers have a car that will handle on par with an Elise (I'm not joking)

My coworker has a 2003 miata. Nice car, I like the styling. She is very happy with it.
