Mazda Rx-7

No not direct swap. Engine, tranny, electronics, motor mount. it's not a cheap swap. Unless you are going to 600+ hp, I agree with FD Rey a nice built up 13B is the way to go.
Thanks again...I have become a memeber on the fourm and I am looking into some things...Silver 9k....I do...I have always liked Rx-7s and NSX`s....But I don`t have the money for an NSX so a Rx-7 will do for now...Plus I think it would make a nice project and also I think it would be nice for me to have something aside from a Honda...because thats all have ever had....I was also thinking about a 95 SR20 Swap 240SX....

Would you care to share how much you have spent on your car?
Ill go ahead and list things that just about EVERY FD will need.
- bushings (you can live with stock ones if you like to drive with an orchestra)
- radiator (this thing is puny)
- hoses (the car is >10 years old)
- coolant overflow tank
- intercooler (same as radiator)
- vaccum hose job (this maze is a nightmare to work on)
- exhaust system (stock midpipe) (stock one creates a lot of heat)
It might also need:
-shocks (the car is >10 years old)
-passenger's side door handle (these are prone to break and expensive to replace)
and to get one running nicely reliable:
-single turbo (stock turbos go out fairly quick and retain a lot of heat)
-ECU
-injectors
-clutch (stock one can't hold the power you are going to want to add... and its probably >10 years old anyways)
-tune
Consider that if your motor has plenty of miles, or is considerably modded, you should have money in your account ready for a rebuild.. unless its your project car...
these are just things off the top of my head.
You can guestimate the cost of ownership based on that.
Basically, if you have money to burn, theres isn't really a better car to burn it with. It will burn fast but will provide tons of fun on the way there. Also, if you can stand the burn, they have a timeless look that will look fresh for a long time to come. They are also awesome to track with.

Sure, and be just everyone else out there. There are way too many 240's around, specially with SR20s.

The quality of the car is just soo below that of an NSX, I had to replace so many other things: Changed the air seperation tank, switched to silicone lines, change the bushings, ground the motor, replace solenoids, fan mod, new cat, new shocks, rims in the '93 where often defective (alot would crack), peeling dash, etc, etc. The car had 70K on it when I bought it and he was a major FD freak...had the original brochures and everything.....he kept it stock except for keeping it reliable, and it still was very very hard to keep running (especially since it was my daily driver).
I sold it, and later ended up with an older NSX (91) with more than double the miles (160K). This car has ZERO problems...its my daily driver too. Don't get me wrong, I love the FD more than the NSX, but you'll be looking for trouble with an FD. Good luck.
In other words, in the long run (not that long even), owning an FD will be quite a bit more expensive than an NSX.
