spoke to the wife and decided to get a benz to replace the BMW (we've never had one, decided to try something different).

the lease on the BMW is up in 6 months, but the C32 and/or E55 need to be ordered wayyyy in advance - other models have more immediate delivery - besides, we can get out of the BMW a few months early if required.

i'm aware that the cars are in different size classes, but either will suit us fine.

just wanted some feedback/comments from anyone who has experience with either or both..

well i don't know if you care.. but the E class is about to be replaced, so your E55 will look dated right away.

You can buy a 02 E55 for near invoice nowadays (which is still around $66K). They are very soft on the market and you should be able to find one any where at any time. Used ones are plentiful as well with pretty big hits in depreciatation since the market turned south on them. C32 on the other hand is still difficult to get.

The 03 E class (W211 chassis) is due out in August with the E320 and E500. The W211 E55 will be out in 8/03 as an 04 model. Supercharged 5.5L as found in the SL55 producing on the order of 469hp. This will be one evil sedan.

Personally, i would get the C32 because its smaller in size so it will handle better. But if you really want the E55, wait for the new body style

unfortunately, i can't wait till they actual arrive in canada though - i have to get something before that....

i guess it'll be the C32...thanks for everyone's input.
