Does this angle help:
A tiny bit, and the colors are nice. Its just a little to futurey for me. Doesn't matter, it is a nice car and I am sure people will love it.

I agree that the center console is way too busy, but everything else is awesome.

There are some good chassis pics here: http://forums.fourtitude.com/showthr...mpetitor/page3

It's interesting. There are some castings in there and maybe those door channels are extrusions (can't exactly say for sure), but there are a ton of aluminum stampings in this mix. I'd say this is more aluminum unibody with some extrusions and castings than a true aluminum space frame. I can't think of any car other than the NSX that has had that many aluminum stamped pieces.

Or am I seeing steel stampings bonded to the aluminum? Hmmmmm...

If this car is really only 3,400 lbs, then I'd say that this is a huge triumph for Mercedes. It's a more or less Corvette-sized vehicle (ass opposed to a 370z, SLK, Z4 kind of vehicle), it's luxurious, and it has enough engine to really be a class leader. I would have guessed that they can't give you all that at less than 3,800 lbs.

Meanwhile where's the NSX?

Car looks great although I feel like the C Pillar was a bit unfinished.

I really can't imagine why anyone wouldn't like the styling. To each his own, I suppose.

The car doesn't flow front to back as well as the SLS in my eyes. If you look at the back half it looks like it should continue downward towards the front and that the wheel base should be a bit shorter.

The SLS was more like the original gullwing in that it was one line front to back with a greenhouse stuck on top. I still think its a good design but I liked the SLS a little bit more. IT was more butch, which makes sense for a 200k+ 2 seater with a viscous sounding 6.2 liter under the hood.
