Well the tiny hp increases is one of them. It went from 168 to 175. Torque went from 162 to 177. There is a button for short bursts of 192lb or torque too.
From what I've read the new turbocharger doesnt run out of breath as fast as the supercharger. It gets better mpg's too. I believe Insideline averaged 26mph thrashing the Cooper S around. The base model could achieve 40mpg on the highway.

I will say this for the MINI, although I'm no fan of any interior where the speedo is in the center of the dash it is one hell of a fun track car, and clearly I can appreciate how good it must be as a daily driver. I'm not a fan of the boring shoebox shape, but just from a performance point of view, the car has a special place in my heart.
That MINI is pretty sweet.
Definitely a car that I have a soft spot for.
I don't recall much torque steer from test drives in the MINI, unlike the SRT-4, man that thing had a bucking bronco in the steering column.

I love the mini. Its got such a good foundation and can be absolutely stunning when done right (both in performance and appearance). I want one so bad...its just that the way I want mine optioned out will end up costing way too much. Too bad.

Torque steer was more noticeable on the turbo model even on my bone stock car.
I noticed that too.
Torque steer was pretty bad.
But other than that, MCSs are very fun to drive.
Brakes are good, build quality was very good, imo.
Handling was a lot more than I expected.
Plus they have bulletproof resale value.
