You say that as if its not true and as if I make these comments all the time...Don't blame me that it looks like the control panel of an 80's space invader game...better yet that big circle belongs around the neck of flava flav

 

I'd rather have a car with a great motor, steering, handling dynamics and a strange interior than a car with a great interior that compromises any of the others. But I guess that's just the enthusiast in me.

 

you act like they don't make cars that have all that and good interiors. I guess thats just the logic in me

 

hell I would drive car with an interior made exclusively of tree bark and sticks if the car was mechanically sound and fun to drive.

I think the point here is most ppl on this forum prefer driver's cars so they don't really pay much attention to interiors. I don't mind the interior as long as what I need to use for driving (stalks, pedals, etc) is easy to use. Radio, AC controls, etc. aren't really a big deal to me.

The center mount speedo is annoying but I'll put up with it in the MINI, there's a lot worse out there to be had. After driving a PT Cruiser for 8 hrs I'll never drive it again if I don't have to, I never thought driving could be such a boring, tedious chore.

 

The 05 that I own has the speedo and tach above the steering wheel (where it should be). The only thing in the center on mine is the navi screen.

 

I know what the point is, but to say i'm so enthusiast that it doesn't matter is ridiculous...look at the 135 thread...nuff said

 

My old roomie had a mini, super fun car. The only downside i felt were the seats, the bolsters are total crap.. And he had the older one with the gearing that let you do 70 in i think second gear, basically u could just carve a whole canyon in one gear.

 

They do make cars like that, but not in the mini's class.
