Default MINI Coupe

[QUOTE]While we can't confirm which new model will debut first, both concepts, based on Mini's R57 platform, are known to be in the works. With the production version of the Mini crossover expected to debut in Frankfurt as well, the company may be bringing along a two-seat concept to reassure the Mini faithful that it's still all about having fun behind the wheel.

Regardless of which variant shows up, assume that it will employ the same potent but fuel-efficient drivetrains as the current models. Given the small size of a two-passenger Mini, the eventual production version could become the performance benchmark for the entire lineup.

Photo illustrations of the concept show a low, rounded coupe

Where have I seen that shape before? Oh yes...Audi TT. But that makes sense. Audi is part of VAG, the greatest car company in the world. Some day all will bow at the Altar of Wolfsburg.

Haha, can it Jay! The Audi TT does look pretty damn good. This thing will sell like hotcakes if executed as well as the pic.

actually the normal cooper S weighs less than 2500lbs as it is, BMW style curb weights (adding weight for a driver and some luggage).

this thing looks like a Mini Cooper, an Audi TT, a Bentley Continental, and a Porsche Panamera all had a wild orgy and this is the freaky test tube baby that is the result of it

I think you're off by a hundred or so pounds on the weight. You might be confusing that with the non-S MINI. What do you think the roadster/coupe's weight should come in at?

If they make it, I'd expect it to be a great little car.
