Monaco GP - SPOILER WARNING!

I think he had to pit again so the best he was looking at was 3rd.
Alfonso made a real bone-head move (he's done this kind of things before). No reason to throw away a podium and a 1-2 finish to lap a car that will move over for you when he gets a chance. Dumb.
Michael says he was warming his brakes and tires and had been doing this all along. Didn't look all that smart and it did appear he moved over into JPM. Who knows. But the marshalls decided no fault.
Alfonso says Ralf had been ignoring blue flags, slowed for him on entry to the tunnel, then started accelerating again. Still, not a very smart place to try to pass regardless.
Too bad for Sato. Hope he can share what he did at the start with his teammate, though!
All in all, it was an exciting race to watch. And, best of all, only one week until the next GP...

A few observations.
1. Honda should of brought Sato in. It was clear the engine was going to go and
at Monaco, the danger of remaining on the track "hoping" it would resolve itself
put too many lives at risk. I am a BAR fan big time but that was the wrong call.
2. Alonso made a horrible decision in trying to pass Ralf in the tunnel on the left
side. A young driver's mistake. He had enough speed that he could of nailed
Ralf coming down the hill following the tunnel, leading into the chicane. There is
very little traction on the left side of the tunnel and midway through it, the angle
leading out of the tunnel steers sharply to the right and this is exactly where Alonso
bounced off the inside wall.
3. Before I get into the MS/JPM incident, Ferrari fans who are claiming it cost
Michael a shot for top podium are blind. Trulli had already pitted and MS still
had one more stop to make. MS might have challenged for second or third but
that remains to be seen as well. Clearly, the Renaults were the stars of the show
this weekend.
4. Michael's decision to scrub his tires right at the apex of the tunnel was flat out
irresponsible. He locks up his brakes in what could arguably called the worst spot on
the course and as expected, one-way Ross blames JPM for the collision. Good grief,
Montoya clearly tried to come around MS on the right but ran out of room. To
their credit, FIA officials called it a "racing incident" but this was, in my opinion, entirely
Ferrari's fault. Had JPM been in opposite shoes, Ferrari fans would be screaming
for penalties. Michael should own up to it and admit it was a judgement call that
given second thought, shouldn't have been made. Scrub 'em out of the tunnel where
Montoya can see what the hell is going on...not at the section of the tunnel
where the car behind you cannot see what you're doing because your left side
tires are angled toward the tunnel wall to the left.

MS and JPM deal was just racing. Well, almost racing. I agree, MS picked a bad spot to lock em down that tight. I have to wonder why people are following so closely with the SC out. A few feet further back for JPM and no contact. Good to see JPM didn't seem to be slowed by the incident.
Glad to see Trulli win. Nice 2nd for Button. I'm sure MS is pissed at himself. He looked to have a pretty solid third. Only one week until the next race!!

Yip just a racing thing - probably with a bit of fault to MS, for a bad decision in where to warm brakes. It would have been fun though, MS 1 JPM 4th but right behind Michael and a great driver on cold tires. Interesting to see how hard MS would run trying to get time on Trulli to get out of the pits (probably with only a few laps to go) in first place. I think MS would have ended up 3rd with an off chance at 2nd.
Anyway, nice to see challenges starting to appear from about 5 or 6 drivers now. I'm a Ferarri and MS fan, but competition is great for the sport. To bad Jaguar can't complete more than a lap or two.

Nothing but MS being the "poor boy loser" he has always been. Oh yeah, He blames someone else for his own wrong doing again. Whats New ?? MS is the most stagnant personality in F1 history, I love to see him fail.
Harsh words...yet understandable. I had a problem when you said MS had a personality though. He does? I thought he just spewed the company line 100% of the time....like an android or something.
Now I'd hate to see this degenerate into a Schumacher vs the World argument, but when you say:
....you are obviously talking about a different Schumacher.....Ralf maybe?
Ya may not like him.....understandable
You may love him....understandable too
Or you may be indifferent.....but he isn't stagnant.
Examine podium ceremonies for the past twenty years and I'll think you'll find he's probably the most animated. He actually seems happy to have won....even when it is under suspicious circumstances.
Granted.....he may not have the fire of his early drives, but numbers talk too and I think the most stagnate award should probably be reserved for someone like Andrea De Cesaris (boring and slow w/ attitude to boot)
....and yes, it was MS's fault today......zero doubt about it
