More NSX Talk
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share with everyone the recent purchase and why i'll be moving on from the s2000.
In the last month, I've been working out a deal to purchase a 1993 NSX from a Family friend and its finally happened. The car has had two owners and currently has 134k miles. That seems high and I was a bit hesitant to pull the trigger when I found out about the mileage. However, upon inspecting the condition on the exterior and interior, I was sold. The maintenance was up to date and I was given a long list of maintenance histories from the same dealership.
The car was not starting when I purchased it due to it sitting too long in the previous owner's garage. I towed it home and had it running within the hour.
My opinion so far:
When I first started looking at purchasing this NSX, I wasn't sure if I'd keep it or not. I knew I was not able to keep both the s2000 and the NSX so I had to make a decision between the two; I know alot of people here would not agree with my decision but ultimately I've decided to keep the NSX. I had driven this exact NSX a bout 3 years ago when the previous owner let me take it out for a spin....I was floored at the feeling and the sound of the car, the car's only modification in its 18yr old life is a comptech exhaust, and oh my does it sounds amazing. But once I got in this car again and opened it up on a stretch of winding roads, there was no question which car was going to go
People have said that the acceleration of the NA1s feel similar to the AP2. Doing a back-to-back comparison, I would whole heartedly disagree. I really wanted to believe that the s2k is just as fast but the NSX just pulls in all RPMs compared the the s2000's VTEC surge. The steering of the manual rack on the NSX is also quite amazing. While slow and heavy in the parking lot, but even at 30mph, this thing feels like a go-kart!
All I can say is, after an afternoon between the two cars, my mind is set. The s2k will be going up for sale and the NSX will be the new addition to the stable

Ahhh, right at home

Thanks guys. Just looking to do a slight drop and put the more updated Oem wheels on. It's hard to thinking about droppIng this thing since it barely makes it over driveways.
But if anyone is looking for a pristine s2k, let me know! Will be posing it up for sale tonight.

Excellent choice. It's your car and you should do whatever you want with it but if I happened to find and buy an unmolested car like that I would keep it as stock as possible. Maybe add a set of later OEM while keeping the originals, no drops, no other mods. Beautiful car, whatever you do with it I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
