Default Most desirable car under 10k

I'm looking at compiling a list of exactly what the title says. I'm looking for cars that hold their value and appeal to an enthusiast crowd. Think about if this was your first car, what would you get and why.

My brother and I have been selling used cars for a few years now with some success, but we want to branch out of the econo market and into something more fun. We plan to start affordable and work our way up.

Thanks.

I'm gonna go a little old school on this one. The child in me says Civic EG hatchback. Everytime I see a clean one I think cheap, economical, fun.

I cant even think of a more modernish day car right now at 10k that would attract that certain type of crowd.

The 240 SX's seem to be commanding a premium and is probably the most desirable car for under $10K IMO. Apparently, kids want to do some "mAd DrifTinG Y0!"

There are quite a few options for you really:

VW GTI or Corrado (great project cars for cheap)
Lexus SC300/400 (about as value-holding and nice as it gets for $10k or less)
Miata (use for a weekend tracker)
240SX (tracker or drifter)
300ZX
Corvette

One of two cars for me, a mid 90's Acura Integra GSR or a 2nd Gen (similar vintage) Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T (or GS-X).
