Most Reliable/Fun/Cheap Track Car?
Been toying around with the idea of searching for a cheap track car (Japanese car) instead of the S2000, I will keep the car mostly stock, don't want to upgrade or modify since I am a newbie to the track. This maybe near impossible but I want a car that feels, drives, and handles close to a S2000 for a track car.
Looking for the following features in a track car:
a) reliable
b) cheap (around $5,000)
c) RWD
d) factory differential
e) manual transmission
d) great chasis (close to 50-50 weight distribution)
Any suggestions?

As Malloric wrote, this has been covered: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=522879.
By far the most logical choice is the Miata unless you have a particular pet car that you really must have, or alternately if your self-esteem can't tolerate being seen in a Miata for some reason.
[QUOTE=musicalVTEC,Nov 29 2007, 05:50 AM]the best choice is undoubtedly a Porsche 944.
