It's not reliable. No one in their right mind gets a BMW without an extended warranty, nuff said about reliability right there.
You're a car guy? Who the hell says I got enough HP in order to keep janky chrome wheels?
There are many choices other than black, and matte black. Chrome is a close second to any black wheel.

Nice upgrade!
My wife drives her d to bullhead And Tucson weekly for work (out of Phoenix). Sorry you had to get to know your new ride in those two cities... Not the nicest places I've ever been.

Btw if u like the chrome, tell these guys to suck it.
I had no idea they were way heavier though, that is crazy.

Gotta love S2ki, telling someone that chrome rims are lame, but applauding people who paint their wheels neon green, orange, or dark blue.

Congrats! Looks clean.

Yeah Alex, it is a bit comical. Back in the early 2000s when we were buying our S2000s, we lamented the future when the kids from ClubSi would move from their parents basements, purchase a used S2K and wind up here. At least their reading comprehension is the same. Maybe they just like to say things to sound informed.

FOR THE THIRD TIME!!! The car has an extended warranty through June of 2015. It is so sweet that you are worried about reliability, but I got this. However, if it makes you feel smart, because you are the only person ever with the skills to research a car before buying it, please tell me again about reliability.

As for the chrome wheels, I've done black longer than you've been able to drive, perhaps before you were even born. My 1984 Dodge Charger I drove in HS back in 1987 had black wheels. My 2001 Chevy Suburban had black wheels and my MCS had black wheels. So you little sheep bleat on about black wheels as you roll around looking exactly like every other douche in your demographic. Sorry, I don't want to be like you.

As for 300hp being enough, are you telling me I need to bump the HP in an unreliable car? Dude, that totally makes sense. Please go away and try reading and thinking next time before you post.

i traded my 2011 sti for a 2008 335xi coupe back in july and love it so far. Titan Silver, premium pack, sport pack with removed speed limter and the 5 spoke 18's. Has every optional extra except for the active cruise control. No regrets, and the car has been flawless so far. More power than the sti, waaaay more comfortable, and waaaay better gas mileage. 27mpg vs 18mpg, for the same hp.

What do you expect. As S2000 owners we hate anything that adds a lot of weight for no good reason. And a lot of weight to the wheels, yikes!

Tough crowd.

Congrats, Nin. Did you request service records to see if the car had any chronic fuel pump issues?

You're right, he should immediately go out and drop another $4500+ on some Volks/Works/etc so he can stand out, just like everyone else in the scene..

You guys love splitting hairs here. This is his daily driver. Nowhere did I see him mention he was turning this into an Auto-X/track/drag monster where every pound of weight should be accounted for.

^^ i agreee, its attiudes like that why i stopped going to any meets involving imports with a median age group under 25. seems like the common thing now is to spend ridiculous amounts of money on track parts, and then set your car up so that the parts are uselss for their intended purpose, and then hard park and talk shit to people who actually track their cars, saying that your car is better because you have better parts.

Back to topic

if its a DD, who cares what wheels it has. it has a purpose to get you from a to b and do so daily. Either way, congrats on the car, i love mine and dont miss my STi at all lol

And drive around with offsets that make their axles look like they are snapped
