It certainly makes sense to do this in order to compete with the upcoming Solstice Turbo.

256 hp with decent torque in a 2600lb car would be nice! Plus probably fairly easy to modify (like an Evo) up to 350hp with minimal $$.

Well since a lot of the car is sourced from the RX-8 and they know the RX-8 can take the power, im sure they are confident in the driveline.
