Autocar reckons that rumours hint
Sounds like bulletproof info to me.

even if they turbo charge the new Miata, I doubt it'll see any more than 200 to 220 HP. Which is still plenty in a car of that size.

If the 2.3 motor they are talking about is the same ones in the MX-3
i dont see them getting to that hp mark.

i'm sure you can eaisly increase the boost with a simple chip/reflash, like any car that comes with a turbo and it'll respond far better to mods compared to a NA car. And in other news, the s2k will soon come with heated seats for model year 2010
You haven't spent much time around the Mazdaspeed Miatas, have you?

I ahave a friend with one. Turns out, the computer/turbo/wastegate is exceedingly complicated and convincing it to hold boost (even 12 PSI) has not been easy. For the longest time, FM's turbo kit for the MSM consisted of ripping the stock parts off and replacing it with their stuff. It seems they have the details finally worked out, but the power is still nowhere near 350 hp. And it cost a LOT more than a "simple chip reflash".
