wow your so smart, i should have thought of that. boy do i feel stupid. I would have asked my daddy but he isnt home yet, i am home alone.(Dont tell i dont want strangers to know) Oh yeah thanks for the help in the english department. maybe i can learn to have no life and take my time and capitalize my letters. If you can help me out any more i would be really thankful. how old are you anyways? Well i could guess and say your not much older than me or a late 30 yr old man who has no people skills and maybe needed to stay in school a little longer.

Hey revS2K look, here is why we "care" so much...
1) There is an entire forum dedicated to this kind of nonsense. It's called "Street Encounters." Is this "Street Encounters"? No.
2) As much as you plan to be "safe", you are a young male driver who is intending to prove his dominance and ego on PUBLIC streets where anything can happen with a 240-HP 2700-lbs. machine. In this position you are going to stop reasoning with your brain and start reasoning with your VTEC powered penis. When this happens the chances of you, the other driver, or an innocent bystandard getting hurt skyrocket.
...and you think it's ok if you put yourself in risk, it's your choice right? You have no problem with it, and you aren't going to be shown up by some punk in a Mitsu right? Well guess what happens when something bad happens.
MY ******* INSURANCE RATES GO UP.
So there, don't be a dick and screw things up for the rest of us. And if you insist on it, don't come wagging it in the face of the drivers who are going to be footing the insurance bill to keep you on life support at $10,000 a day when end up in the hospital.
KTHX.

Wow, you all look very mature. This thread reminds me of something I would read on the srt-4 forums.
People race on the street, if you don't like it then get over it. Because it isn't going to stop. Lets all call each other names since we don't agree on something!
He asked a simple question. If you don't want to help answer it then why would you find the need to post?
With this post, I guess you could have put it on the street encounter section. But still, he is doing a comparo of cars. And this is "Car Talk."
Anyways, from what I have gathered from others on here, the new Eclipse is not a 14.1 sec car. Where did you get that number? I will have to look it up a little more to see. But from my readings on this forum they are nothing special. I would think you could beat him. But if it is a 14.1 sec car it should be a drivers race.

They weigh 3500lbs and have 263hp/260tq, and FWD
I don't see how it can run a 14.1 but who knows. Post on the street encounters forum. I few on there have ran them.

I think had this race occured then it would belong in street encounters. Since it has not and is hypothetical, it's up in the air to me.
Also, I think some people kind of jumped on this guy from the get go. I could care less how he got his car or what he does with it as long as he isn't hurting anyone (or insurance rates hopefully).
Full Metal Jacket is a great movie.
Finally, I could beat that eclipse... (who knows, just felt like braggin')

wow.....is anything OT in here?
i work at a misty dealer and have had a first hand encounter. the new eclipse is a nice car. its got a killer sound system, and has some good get up and go. well a saleman started the usual this thing would smash your honduh and all that. so we took the cars out and had some fun. the saleman owned the eclipse. so we went out (on a closed course, no really) and had some runs. from a dig it wasnt a race, put 4-5 cars on the 'clipse. from any kind of a roll the clipse hang in there good for about a gear, then once i shifted the s pulled hard.
