I purchased this new car about a week ago, and had it delivered. For those in Canada, it came from Edmonton and I live in Regina. Saturday night it finally arrived. It was colder than the arctic, and it had oil splattered all over the roof.
The car went right to the car wash and I was able to blast the oil off, with no residue left, so after that I was a pretty happy camper.
This is the only picture I have taken as it was cold, dark and I have kept it in a heated garage since then. I want to keep it clean so I can do the 3M kit on it.
^it's neat, but I really haven't had a chance to test it out properly. The screen provides a birdseye view (from the top), right side, front or back and different coloured lines to help you determine distance. The camera's also project lines based on the angles which help determine where you are going to end up. It's a bit of a puzzle for me, but I will read the manual many times I am sure.
This car has to many features (distractions) it is going to take me awhile to get the hang of it.
I love Infiniti's Pearl White or Aspen White I guess.
I am sure there are not many mods out there yet, but I can see this little number being an interesting car to modify. The exhaust has a slight rumble, but not like the FX 35.
Apparently Infiniti was targeting the lady customers, but there is about a 50/50 split of customers. I am not sure if folks are really buying this as a family vehicle. The down side is the target was 20K units, but infiniti has only send 10K out. 2010 will be a redesign especially more leg room in the back seats. 2009's are not even released yet, if at all.
Congrats! We've had 3 FX35s and currently have 2. Great cars. I drove the EX when it first came out. It is definitely more car-like than the FX but less overtly sporty (the exhaust is much quieter, as you mentioned). The EX also has a very nice interior. I didn't know they were redesigning the car for 2010? That's weird. The car was new for '08, right? I did, however, think it was too small. Since I think the new FX is hideous (most people must think so too, since I've never seen one on the road), an enlarged EX could be interesting, though I doubt it will be substantially bigger since the FX did not grow in its redesign.
Oh, and I love the white. 2 of our 3 FXs have been white (my wife replaced her '05 white FX with nearly the exact same car, except for getting RWD instead of AWD and adding an IPod connection).
