Interesting, where did you spot that?

And I agree, it is better looking. Still chunkier than the previous gen though.

All they changed was the rear lights, as far as I can tell. It's the same body, just a nicer picture with some interesting reflections on it.

All they did was add some lights to the trunk lid?

The Civic Si sedan doesn't look all that bad in person

I found the driving position to be quite nice

The complaints weren't necessarily about the outside, they were about the inside. In dark colors especially, the Civic looks just fine. The Si looks great in person.

The expectation is that they'll improve the interior feel/look and leave the outside mostly alone. Their capital costs to set up for building a particular set of body panels for the car won't allow them to just throw those barely used parts out and redesign the outside.

I daily drive a 2011 Civic SI Sedan. My wife drives a 2012 Civic LX Sedan. The interior quality between both is very obvious. The 2012 interior quality (dash, doors, seats, switchgear) reminds me of an older Focus, its pretty crappy and generic. I cannot compare seats since SI is different, but her seats are not supportive at all. I have not been inside a 2012 SI Sedan, so unsure how it compares.
