So what happens if you use 17x9 wheels on the CR?

What size tires are you running on the NC?

The CR is running rear wheels (17x8.5) all around (he had them bored out for the front, and installed wider tires), and I know the rear tires are wider plus what do they have, a 140 treadwear rating? (I'm running Star Specs, 200 tread wear).

The red one has a Greddy turbo and R compounds, though to be fair the owner just upgraded to this car from an NA one and wasn't very comfortable w/ it.

The blue CR driver was okay, but not great.

Star Specs are "better" tires than many 140 tread wear tires, IMHO.

Not trying to say anything, but I'd like to know what tire width you're running.

I don't know that a CR could fit wider than a 255 front and rear on 8.5s.

A 265+ would easily fit on a 9 inch, though.

I'm running (well worn) Dunlop Direzza Star Specs, 235/40-17 all around. You're right, they're exceptional tires for a 200 treadwear rating.

Can you squeeze the 255 Star Specs on? Or are they too tall?

I'm hoping to do 295/30/18s (probably AD08s) this year on the S2000 and Star Specs on our crap-can W2W endeavor (180+ treadwear required, thank goodness for Star Specs).

UKExotics is running 245, and he's running ~ a 1/2" lower, but w/ a more aggressive fender roll and minimal street usage.

Others have used up to 285 (maybe even 295?), but I believe that's more of an autocross-related setup.

I'm probably going to Nitto NT-01's next, just not sure if they'll be 235's or 245's.

255's shouldn't be too much of a problem. http://forum.miata.net/vb/showpost.php?p=4...27&postcount=65

The 315s will be for autocross and the 295s for track.

The 295 Advans are sort of mild Corvette sized.

We did 235/265 for a street tire this year and thought about doing 265 square, but I had a spare set of 18x11s lying around.
