Default Need a daily driver

I need a new daily driver and I am trying to pick between the TSX and the SI. I have always liked the first gen TSX and I found one with 6mt with low miles. The price is almost the same as a brand new SI. I really like them both so advice is appreciated. The only bad thing about the SI is that I am 32 yrs old and will look weird driving a teenager car

hmmm idk, i think both are pretty nice. for me i would probably get a civic SI. but if ur thinking of selling it in the near future, get the TSX. depreciation sucks on cars lol!

I agree with Ziggy, if you can get a brand new car go for it. I do like the TSX as well though...... Hard one there!!!

they're both about the same hp, they look about the same size, they're both made by the same company.

i don't know dude, i'd go with the cheaper or the newer.

Might as well get the TSX - less depreciation, nicer interior.

I own an 09 fa5 and I recommend you go with the tsx. It's funny but i'm 17 and I feel too old for this car at times. The car (stock) is loud as s%$t IMO, it's all show (sound) and no go. I love my car for what it is but in your situation I would prefer some luxury, especially since you have the s2k for fun times.

I'd have to pick the TSX for a daily driver. It's fairly sporty but it's more comfortable, has a way better interior, fantastic sound system, and as others have pointed out, you won't take near the depreciation hit.

GTI

I would be hard-pressed to buy a SI, that thing has to be due for a redesign/upgrade soon.

I would take a GTI over a TSX because you cannot get a manual in a tsx v6.

You cannot get a V6 in an older TSX so it's a moot point. The GTI is faster than a TSX but they both have four-bangers and make 200-210 hp and the TSX has a great shift 6MT with the four-banger (much better than the GTI in my opinion).
