Lighter and turbo possibility? Sounds good to me. Interesting that the 370 hasnt sold as well as the 350 and it's a much better car. Kudos to Nissan for constantly improving their sports car.

370z is the best looking car currently made in Japan. Although, the new front bumper is shit. It looks like the 350. I'd take the 09-11(?) in a heartbeat.

Seems the 370z is love/hate on aesthetics.

Hard to compare the current sales of the current car to its predecessor given the global economic meltdown and the Japan earthquake. The market hasn't been "normal" for about 4 years now. The earlier 350Z was hatched during the height of the feel good bubble when everything was selling. Even S2000's.

I like Nissan's thinking. The Z car needs to get back to its roots, smaller, lighter. Less engine is OK too if the overall package is more fun to drive and more fuel efficient. The current car is straddling the line between a sports car and a grand tourer. There's a lot of competition in the GT class. Not so much in sports cars. But then the market is smaller too.

Nissan got much right about the 370, but also cut too many corners making it a pretty poor platform for tracking. Decent car, but I'd never recommend one for anyone planning to hit the track or drive very aggressively in the twisties.
