New Audi S6
This looks like a viable alternative to the M5 in sedan form and the E55 AMG wagon in Avant form...

It's coming out in October in South Africa but I'm not sure when it's going to hit US shores.
There are some decent pics in that article.

it's a good article about the S8. At the end they talk about the V10 engine.
They say 450 HP (but in US rating it's 444 HP) but the TQ of this engine is different than the Gallardo, more TQ and produced at a lot lower revs.
The Gallardo is probably closer to the M5/M6 as far as HP and TQ etc..
TQ produced down low is be better suited for a 4200 lb sedan. The M5 makes about the same TQ, but peak TQ at 6100 rpm while the Audi peak TQ is at 3500 RPM.

That's not a DSG tranny. Its a automatic with a "manual" mode.
Also, especially considering that its automatic and AWD... 4.x 0-60 in the M5 was surely achieved using "Launch Mode." The S6 doesn't have that "luxury"
In a recent Best Motoring episode a M5 was put against a CLS55. The CLS55 pulled a on it pretty good most of the way down the 1/4 mile. The 500hp in that M5 seem to like to hide.... most likely because there's no torque.
