I don't think nothing comes close to this think mainly because of its WEIGHT at (2860lb) that is S2000 weight with 600hp 500tq a 458 weighs in at (3274 lb)that is 300lb's heavier and 50hp less and the rest of the super car world are 500+lb's heavier you can make a car accelerate fast with a lot of power and make it stop with big brakes but that weight will affect the handling a lot. The only other car that has the same power to weight is a Zonda but that's twice the price of the MP4 McLaren.

The F458 has a posted dry weight as you listed but actual wet weights put it over 3450-3500 lbs! That's 600+ lbs more than the McLaren!

Better or worse, it sounds a lot like the engine size/spec that GM is shooting for for the C7 in that rumor article.

Personally I think it looks better than the Ferrari 458 Italia (which I'd assume is it's biggest rival). Ferrari's newer designs have just not been impressing me at all.

I love the expression he makes followed by the words "stupidly fast", that's saying something when it comes from Chris Harris. The looks of the car have grown on me since it's release, it didn't really grab my attention like the 458, but now I've lost all interest in the Ferrari. I just get the impression that, of the people with the cash to buy cars like these, the one's who really take an interest in cars will buy the 12C, it's just not a posers vehicle, and that makes it way cooler than the 458 IMO...

It's impressively looking, but the 458 looks like a more emotional design.

Surprisingly, the 458 is still faster around a track. Looks better, and has more soul with the NA screamer engine.
