Thumbs down A new car for s2ki to hate! Lotus Evija

S2ki tends to be very critical of new car designs that are too angular or flashy; cars that those darn "millenials" drive while vaping. Well here is Lotus' new car! It should be an utter disaster here.

That car is the pinnacle of automotive design. Very impressive. Can't wait to see actual reviews of it at speed.

I feel like Lotus really hasn't been relevant since it stopped making the exige.

Looks cool though.

They have had a tough go in the US the last decade. Compliance to safety laws has hurt their previous platforms. Bahir put them through a financial ringer. They still are quite successful in their engineering for other marques and did well in F1 for a few seasons. Privateer teams did quite well racing the Evora and Evora 400 in sports car racing. The new Geely ownership and cash influx should see the a positive next decade for Lotus; especially in the US. They need cars to sell here. My local dealer does not have one new Lotus in stock! No used ones either...

Buying a Lotus is paying for the best engineering and hand assembly. I think they're a bargain for what you really get considering how small the production line is. No one can go as direct from test track to assembly line like Lotus can.

Millennials drive? I was under the impression far fewer of them cared about cars and driving.

The Lotus design is pretty gorgeous though.

I dont mind the styling. But the back has something going on I do not care for as much.

But I do not know how long I can resist jokes about a British electric car lol.

looks really impressive. Is it just me or are cars starting to look similar?

I don't know about other models, but Elise owners would disagree.

Looks great on the exterior, not too sure I care for the interior.
