I'm in the market for a new DD, currently the S is my DD, but as of May I will be travelling roughly 150km a day 3-4 times a week. I'm looking for something comfortable, requires regular fuel (no premium), and is great for highway driving. Of course, fuel efficiency is important and I am trying to stay away from Acura (insurance reasons)
Any suggestions? My last DD was a Scion xB, which was great, but it got cramped on longer trips, and the engine wasn't the best for highway use. budget is 5k, not the most to work with but I am not looking to turn heads, thats what the S is for
Thanks

Hondas are noisy on the highways and not that comfortable. Wind, road, and tire noise in any Honda I've ridden in. I've owned newer Hondas and still the same. I currently own an 09 Pilot btw. Ride in any Camry if you haven't and you'll notice difference immediately.

I have a 2011 Sienna, it is noisy too. Just a little quieter than Ody. So not just Honda thing.
The new Honda Accord fixed that problem now. Honda added Active Noise Canceler. Unfortunately it is out of his price range.

Yeah I've ridden and driven several older and newer Camrys, sure they're comfortable but the vague steering feel and boat-like handling characteristics are a huge turn off for me.

I'm interested in the same attributes, so it would be nice to find something fun and sporty for $5k. For my case though, it would need to have a back seat, be manual, and at least RWD or AWD.

Comfortable, quiet on the highway, cheap, and great gas mileage. I hate to say it, but this is an open and shut case for a Camry.
The 4 cylinder version will be more efficient, but the 6 cylinder version will probably be a tad quieter. What you choose depends on what's more important to you I guess.
