New Dodge Challenger
hmmm in the black color it does look nice, wouldnt buy one though ;p but saw a red one of the street, it looked ok... i was the only one saying "look a challenger!" then all my friends went mehh... lol
It looks nice in pictures, but it's absolutely huge in person. I had the chance to sit in one at the auto show last year, and I thought that the interior was cheap and very similar to the one in the Dodge Magnum/Charger. And $40k for an SRT-8 model? I'd rather have a Corvette instead...
I like it a lot. I saw one recently that was almost the same red as the tail lights, and it looked really good.
The car is supposed to feel a bit claustrophobic inside because of the small windows and low seating position.
If you check www.finalgear.com, there's a fairly recent episode of Top Gear where they came to the US (I remember them being in Reno & Lake Tahoe) and Richard Hammond drove the Challenger on the trip. He had some nitpicks with it, but by the end of the trip he wanted one.

I think it looks really nice. It is huge though. Was driving behind one and it has a lift like a pick up truck. Thing is so high off the ground. I would imagine the handling and "feel" of the car would be horrible.

It's absolutely HUGE!
I have a pic of me standing at the rear of a real Challenger and the salesman and I compared it to me standing behind the new Challenger. We concluded the rear bumper is at least 8" higher and the car looks to be about 6" wider.
We compared stats and found out the Challenger is much closer to the old Charger, in other words a full size sedan and not a pony car.
But with that said, there was one running in the Koni Challenge at Daytona (although you'd have never known it by the coverage in Speed). It was it's first race and it did quite well considering this was it's first time on track.
It looked nice going down thru the corners.

However, next to a "real" car, it just looks chunky and bloated. It truly is HUGE!
I like the look. Only saw them on a lot so far. They captured a retro muscle car image better than the others. It does look monstrously heavy and huge. But that's part of the image. Works for me. Did you see the sticker prices (SRT pushing past $40K)? Not cheap!
