This appears to be US spec Elise based on the rpms it was pulling and the sound (I had a Vibe GT for a while with the same engine)
The Lotus really dives in on the others with a clear edge in cornering and braking. Straight-line power leaves a bit to be desired, especially against the F40.
EDIT: I DON'T THINK IT IS A US SPEC ELISE. The dash isn't US spec and neither is the steering wheel.

I dont think thats a US spec version. I had a Celica GT-S and it didn't sound like that. Either way, the guy was kicking ass, although he was a little rough, not to mention he probably really pissed off the Porsche guy when he locked them up when he took the inside line for that right hander.

The Elise has a remapped ECU, cold air intake, and different exhaust from the factory. I think it's a US spec Elise. EDIT: I DON'T THINK IT'S US SPEC.
Mr. Payne,
I do lapping days frequently and yes, this guy was driving a bit crazy. You don't dive in on people in corners on a lapping session, unless you want your azz kicked. That said, I don't know the specifics of this video and whether the people on the track knew each other really well or exactly what the situation was.
