Wow, I haven't looked at BMW prices in a while but it looks like to get one that's "sufficiently equipped" you'd have to spend anywhere between the low $60ks to the mid $60ks. Now that's a lot of money!

^ those are typical BMW prices. I'm actually surprised SMG is standard no cost option. And if the base price holds true, thats a bargain- people were expecting base price in the 60s.

I was thinking the car would be up around $70,000 when you started throwing options on it.......however, my BMW store has not received anything on the M3 pricing yet. Until I see straight from Bimmer I'm not buying it.

If true, that would be an awesome price, only a 3 - 5% increase over the current model. I was always concerned about pricing for the new M3. I'm glad BMW didn't increase the base by $10K as I feared they might.

I'll take mine SMG3 + 19" wheels and I'm good.

Wow, I must've gotten cheap over the years. $70K? Couldn't you get a nicer 5er for that price?

gimme SMG, premium and 19's and i'm good to go.

you don't need all that other shit anyway.

the sunshade would be nice for the kids though.

and IMO, that's an acceptable bump in base price.

you're getting more motor ($3K?), SMG is no charge now ($2400 on '06's), HID's are no charge now ($750 on '06's), plus the intrinsic "value" that comes with any new model.

Thanks for the high quality info.

This is the first time I have seen HD radio as an option.

Do other companies offer it yet?

Huh. Interesting. There are folks here in S. Fl with the unmitigated gall to ask $64K+ for "new" E46 M3s. Granted those were 'verts, but still...

hootie....verts are 8K more to start over a coupe.

plus, you won't be able to "buy" the new M3 for another year or so (spring '08?).
