I saw one at the Chicago Auto Show. The rear hatch doors are like portholes. You'd be better off with a Civic or an Accord.
I was at the Mini dealership this weekend and drove the Mini S
The problem (as I see it) is the rear seat of the regular Mini is not there at all. SO they add a few inches (not as much as you think it's still small much smaller back there than a GTi).
The Clubman is just a bit better in back, it's got like 3 inches more leg room than the small mini.
the Clubman costs $1900 extra, I mean if you want real rear seats don't get a Mini Clubman it's like jumbo shrimp.
The rear doors? They are like a Surburban split door, I don't like it on a Surburban and I really don't like it on a subcompact car.
look out the rear-view mirror is blocked half of what you see is the split doors.
I do like the Mini and like the looks of the regular but the clubman not as nice and the side door is still not easy to get in like a normal door (like on a Civic sedan for example).

I sat in one at the LA Auto Show and it was ok. The rear hatch double door thing was annoying though. I sat in the back and it was way more confortable than the regular MINI. I can see why people would buy it. I would be more acceptable to the Clubman if they had made the rear door open like a regular hatch or even side ways. I would just keep on walking by and get the MINI Cooper S.
