It was a really good move by Aston to make the Vanquish a more focused performance car with the DB9 out. At first everyone thought the DB9 would make the Vanquish superfulous, but it turns out it's the older sister that is the more dynamic of the two. And it has never suffered for a lack of style or speed. The second hand prices reflect that... the current v12 Ferraris depreciate like rocks while the AM's are hold almost all of their original value.

i know its probably not what the average aston martin owner wants but I'd like to see a more focused performance version. Like the 360CS, GT3 RS, and M3 CSL. I'm sure they could save a lot of wieght with all lux that standard version has.

i got to drive it yesterday!!
a friend got the first 06 s in the u.s. (so he was told by aston martin)-
i drove it for about a half hour...
i was shaking when i got out!!
that front end is really low! scraped it a couple times.
and man that gurgle between shifts (paddle) is incredible-
you can feel the weight, but it handles and moves like you can not believe-
the most incredible car i have ever driven!!

eyescream- nope, i am taking the pic- that is the owner...

04s2kWPB- yeah, i know; i told him i would give him ten grand to get it fixed!!! he told me that he does it all the time. fortunately he is a good friend. i was afraid to look under the front to see what the damage was, but he insisted that it was minor from the srapes.

this morning he brought home a new a8, as his new beater car!!
