Default Newb Question

hey everyone im new to the motorcycle scene...im going to purchase a new bike nxt month but not sure which one yet...newayz i had a quick question...everyone on here is always straining on how important it is to wear all ur protective gear at all times...but what do u do with all that gear when ur going to the movies or out to eat?? What do you do with ALL the gear?? Wear it inside?? Take it off and leave it on the bike?? Seems like a huge burden...but no excuse for not wearing it...just wondering... thanks

Lock the helmet to the bike, take the gloves and jacket in, or if someone has a car, store it in the trunk. I've seen people with cables and padlocks that string the jacket and helmet and lock it all to the bike.

I either wear it or use a cable lock like Saki said.

Just rock my gear inside. Put gloves in the helmet to save room and hang up the jacket. If you are single it is a great conversation starter. So it has its perks.

take it with me. but i only go to places where i can see my bike and not there for a time. there is no point in riding to places like the movies or the store (unless its for something quick) i know you're new and when i was too i wanted to show off but its not worth it. if it seems like to much trouble to wear all the gear and take it with you, just dont. wanna look cool just riding around and hang out at star bucks
hear too many stories of bikes getting stolen or knocked over when left at places too long and cant see it.

when I ride for the sake of showing off that I have a bike, and want to make women look at me (I'm being honest here; this a benefit of having a bike); I wear a jacket, helmet, gloves, touring boots (they wear like normal shoes), and jeans. canyon riding is a DIFFERENT STORY... wwwaaaayyyy different

when I get to a coffee shop, restaurant, etc; I lock the helmet to the bike, and put the gloves in the helmet. I keep the jacket on, because it looks better than every other Armani-wearing pussy's jacket, and the boots stay on too (everyone wears shoes)

riding EVERYWHERE is a hassle, though: u can't make purchases, u can't leave the bike parked in questionable neighborhoods, and what if it rains, or someone backs into it?
