yea i dont trust leaving my gear on the bike

an s2ki member had his helmet stolen from his bike and bike knocked over

Just wear the gear. I personally never lock my helmet to the bike. It's a 500$ piece of fairly fragile equipment. If someone were to be a dick and hit it with a big stick it could make the difference between the helmet working properly or not come crash time.

More relevant is that if it storms your helmet can get mildew inside of it within a couple hours.
a $500 is not gonna get all mildewy from water. we sweat in them during the summer and yet my lid doesnt stink. had it for over a year with out washing the insides since only the cheek pads are able to be removed. RF1000
the lining in todays lids are made of something i forgot that lets you not have to worry about stuff like that
