Default The Next Hellcat - a Charger

...is a Charger

Dodge has now stuffed the supercharged, 707hp Hellcat engine into a 2015 Charger. Perfect time to start talks with the misses about needing a "family car"...

The Charger Hellcat will go 204mph which is 5mph FASTER than the Challenger.

I suppose this is what is left when a guy has a baby and decides to sell his Vette, eh?

I don't understand why the Charger has a higher top speed than the Challenger. Is the Charger more aerodynamic? 5 mph at that speed is quite a bit.

Badass. Looks pretty damn good too! Shame a manual isn't available, but when we're talking about this kind of power in a large vehicle it's not really a dealbreaker.

According to Road & Track: Because its longer than the Challenger, the Charger Hellcat 0.35 drag coefficient is 12% lower than the Challenger, which is what enables the higher top end.

I'd still rather have the Challenger Hellcat with a manual transmission. The Charger doesn't look nearly as good.

I'll change my mind if they can miraculously shed 600-700 lbs off the Challenger weight for the Charger.

Then you're never changing your mind. Why would they rip that much weight out?
