I love Miatas. Yes, they're wimpy from factory but that's what makes them cool: for some pocket change you get a blank canvas to build whatever monster you feel like.

This car pretty much started the flared/deep dish trend among Miatas, got the tuner world to notice the little roadsters and killed the girly image:

To me, building the car is as much fun, or maybe even more fun, than racing the car.

I have a really shitty turbo setup running a very modest amount of boost and the last time I went to the track, I went out with the "fast" group (read: fast cars, but drivers that suck as much as I do, lol) and I passed many cars on a very short straight that most people would not expect me to be able to pass. I passed a lightly modded Mazda Speed 3, a handful of Mustang GTs (current gen and last), a handful of Pontiac G8s, and few other cars.

I passed all of these cars with relative ease. It is too easy to make a fast Miata.

 

how easy is it to do a 13b Swap into a Miata?

 

actually sheik from fatcat motorsports makes bumpstops so you can run a miata that low,..migit ask him to make some for an s2k..btw miatas are actually great cars especially for autox..miss mine tbh
