Damn nissan is on a role, it still confuses me so much how every other car make is producing such high performing cars and honda isnt even thinking about it, besides a new nsx which they dont even know what it looks like, but somehow it will be out in 2009/10... I can see myself driving a nissan in the future. Just wish they had different styling, that new Z looks alot like the G35. http://www.topspeed.com/cars/nissan/2009-n...re112413-0.html

Their 3.7L V6 would be yummy enough with variable intake AND exhaust timing. Call it 350 HP. I'm hoping to see it at December's LA auto show.
Oh yeah, for the record, no way they'll put a V8 in their economy sports coupe. Besides, that's a longer motor than a V6 and EVERY rumor says this will be shorter and wider.

The 3.7L that they have is only going to be 330 max or a little less than the G37's 3.7L.... What i would like to see is the 3.8L that they used in the Nismo RS from Japan. That was producing 350hp though.....

I really hate Nissan, but theyre making cars right now that is making it really difficult to hate them at all
Most of their models are ugly, they have nothing sporting in their line up, and after 6 years in F1 they have yet to win a race, even though for years they have had the biggest budget of any team.
I'm a huge Nissan fan, and if the Zed should ever get a V8 I can tell ya this, Nissan knows how to make great V8's, because I just love my 5.6!!!

The Z is a nice car. I can only imaging how nice it will be if it's made lighter with more power.

Zacreth, you're talking about the existing 3.7 motor. There is room for real improvement at that same displacement (witness the HR versus older 3.5 motor) but we're all just speculating.

Penforhire, speculation yes..but so far it seems that is what is going into the 370z. i was hoping to hear that there would be a bump in the hp but there isn't unfortunately. But hey it's not bad to have a 330hp V6 even if they didn't lower the weight.
