Sounds like a good way to test the waters and get feedback on the styling.

It seems like the mechanicals for the prototype road car were pretty close to show time, but internally Acura/Honda could not agree on the styling. If Honda/Acura can produce something attractive, now would be the time since alot of Honda/Acura fans are complaining that nothing exciting is coming from Honda/Acura anymore.

That's awesome. I wonder if they banned the mid-engined NSXs to push Honda to go forward in making a working NSX haha

I don't think they have banned mid engine considering that there are lambos and Ferrari's in Super GT. IMO honda should stay with the mid engine, it's what made the NSX such a unique car coming from japan.

Why ban the mid-engine layout? Such a bummer! Yes, it has its advantages, but so does AWD. The new GT-R (R35) is not mid-engined, but it's been dominating the Super GT since its entrance.

Sounds like Buell getting to cheat the rules this past season in the AMA. No production car, no race in my book. Lame. Honda fails again.
