The NSX legacy

Having had the NSX and S2000, I would have to say I like both cars. I like the interior of the S2000 more than the NSX but the exterior of the NSX is much more appealing to look at than the S2000. IMO, one is not better than the other. Yeah one is faster and outperforms the other but the fun factor of the S2000 is right up there with the NSX IMO.
I remember when I saw them back in 1990 in a magazine. I was like someday I will own one of those car, whatever it takes. That was one of my goals in high school. If and when the HSC comes out I will be inline to buy one. I am not going to wait 9-10 years to get the next great car from Honda.

I love the NSX, always have and always will. Are they over priced in relation to the performance, yes. However, I would take one anyday, PERIOD.

The BMW 850 Csi was much more capable, and more expensive. Also, the M1 was probably considered more exotic, though not much more capable.
Given that the NSX is still superior to the S2000 in most of these areas, would it not be implied that the NSX is a more capable car than the 850ci? One the point of it being more expensive, I definitely agree with you.

Great article.
I like the older pop up lights better too.
The first NSX i saw, i was 9 and it was black and was outside on a stand, I always thought it was a Ferrari until a few months later when i found it in a magazine.
My friends brother has a yellow one with BBS LM's, that thing is gorgeous!

The first time I saw the NSX in person was on September 30th 1990.
Up until then, the Porsche 930 turbo was my dream car.
The S2k is awesome, the C6 vette is a torque monster, the M3s can be very practical, but the NSX just hits the spot for me.

For the love of god guys, the XGA rumor did not start here at s2ki. If I'm correct, I think I read about it on the honda site long before the april fools article. Besides that, it was published all over the internet and perhaps a few mags. People got this thing all twisted.

The nsx is a great car IMHO. I just can't figure out why I love it so much, but I know it would be a great "classic" to own. I guess Honda did a good job of making it a Halo car. How great the NSX "WAS" isn't very important now. All tha matters now, is what Honda has to offer TODAY! I guess most people are much older than I am on this forum, so NSX was the dream car of their time. I am looking forward to buying an exotic in the near future, and I'm really hoping Honda will be one of my choices. IMO, if the new NSX performed as well as the 997 GT3, I'd buy it. I don't think that is too much to ask for. That kind of performance, Honda reliability, obviously excusivity, and put it all in a good looking package that some what resembles the older NSX.....that would be perfection.
