NSX v Cayman S v Exige..
Let's leave aside the Z06 and the 911 for a minute.
Let's just think about mid-engine sports cars.
I love the NSX and the 2003+ (?) NSXs with the fixed headlights are as rare as hens teeth. But the Cayman S looks to have the measure of the outgoing NSX.

I voted Cayman S, but I'd probably get the Z06 or the Z51 (and pocket some dough). NSX is just too damn old, and I'm too much of a girl scout for the Exige (and maybe too big at 6'2" 200lbs). I've sat in an Elise and could never use that as a DD.

I gotta have a convertible, so though of these choices I'd pick a Cayman, I'd have to have another car to go with it. So, the choice would be Cayman S (DD) + S2000 (fun car), or a Boxster S (fun car) + some other DD, like an SUV or my TSX. I think the new Cayman is cool, but I'd probably save some cash and go with the Boxster S.
But the Corvette would be an interesting alternative.
I don't like the styling of either the new NSX (and the dated interior sucks) or the Exige (and this is about worthless as a car aside from the occasional backroad blast).

For a track car, the Exige is going to obliterate those others. Of course, it's going to suck to drive on the street.
For a street/track car, the Caymen is probably your best bet. Had you not excluded it, the Z06 is far, far better track/street car.
The NSX is pretty, but it's also pretty underpowered. It'll make a really nice street car, though.

Exige is way too purpose built to anything more than canyon carve, the Cayman... which I originally loved, has no LSD. SO... my choice would be the NSX hands down.

I saw a red Cayman S the other day. Did NOT like it that much, but perhaps it'll grow on me.
The Exige is amazing, but it's a pure track car - not much good for anything else.
The NSX is as fast as the Cayman, probably doesn't handle as well, but looks lightyears better (in my opinion - the NSX looks better in person than in pictures, which is the opposite of the Cayman S).
Bottom line - in this one, I'd take the NSX, drop it, change the wheels and brake pads and I'd be set.
