Nice car. I wonder how the sales on the Elise will be in this country

Actually, the european version, only has like a 120 or 130 BHP rover engine, the one we are getting has 190. Which if you figure based on the weight of the car, at 1800 pounds that is 1 HP per 9.47 pounds of car, So that would be equivelant to an S2K having about 306 HP. In comparison. I have no idea how they are saying that it only has a top speed of 137, that would mean that the gearing on that 6 SPEED would need to be super tight, so in conjunction with the superior HP to weight ratio, it must have a much tighter gear set. Imagine that. Let alone the cornering, and braking instant superior.

I test drove a Euro spec elise 2 days ago. Incredible handling. Very raw. Acceleration on the 120 hp euro spec w/ rover engine is about equivalent to the S2000 in terms of feel. The 190 hp 2ZZ-GE is going to be a monster! Add a cold-air intake and exhaust and you'll be at 210 hp... sick!
