It still weighs about 3200 lbs, correct? It should be almost as fast as the S, so the question is, for the price, why not buy an S? With the Solstice and supercharged Sky, Honda finally has some direct competition. Direct injection and variable valve timing fom GM - looks interesting.

 

It very well might be faster than the S. It has nearly twice the torque...

 

But still looks hideous compared to the S

 

Now that is a pontiac... When do they start showing up in dealers.... Maybe i could talk my uncle to end his lease on his honda s2000 and lease a solstice GXP

Because you can't. Not for the Solstice's price.

 

It is a domestic, it cant be as light as a Honda.

 

For the record, the Soltice and the S weight the same. This car should be pretty fast. It'll be interesting to see what its performance numbers are. For reference, it is has 20 less hp than a boxsterS, but 24 more lbs torque. Hopefully, this car will force Honda's hand

 

They need to build the Solstice coupe...that car would be sweet with this engine. I like the GXP, it'll defi be worth a hard look.
