Default Pilot vs MDX

We are looking for a family hauler now that we have a little one coming within a month and I wanted to know if the price diff between the Pilot and MDX is worth it.

I am leaning towards the Pilot b/c I prefer the appearance. Anyway any info owners of either have would be appreciated.

Also what should I pay for a Pilot fully optioned?.. are they discounting etc.

thanks

my folks got a Pilot, the thing is nice, i would say the difference between the 2 are minimal. I think you get more car with the pilot for the price than the mdx. When they were looking for an suv, the mdx was around 37k or so i thimk for a normal one, they ended up getting a fully loaded pilot with leather and navi for about 31k. So I say Pilot if you like the looks.

We have an '04 MDX Touring/Nav for my wife. We love it, but I admit that we never looked at the Pilot. I am sure the Pilot is very good, but the upscale nature of the MDX is more in line with what we wanted in the vehicle. At the time we looked at the GX470 and the XC90, but I felt the MDX was their superior. I am sure for the money that the Miata is excellent, but I still choose an S2000.

The only way to answer this question is for you to go out and drive both and decide for yourself if the difference is worth the money.

just to let you a know a fully loaded Pilot is nowhere near a MDX, and especially no where near 39k. We bought ours for 31k brand new with leather and navigation. Yes we don't have the sunroof, nor the hid's but honestly for the price difference those stuff I wouldn't sweat. Although at the time of our purchase acura just got the new 260hp engine so that was the major difference, but its an suv and the 240hp was pleanty. by the way I am not sure about the Mdx, but the Pilot has standard 3rd row seating. if that matters
