Yep, saw it. I was agreeing with you. The "plain" coupe does look 100x better than the "GXP" that's photographed above.
Fortunately it seems that the GXP is merely a prototype. So maybe they can turn off some of the kiddy bodywork before (if) it goes into production.

While they are turning the boy-racer/wanna-be-ricer factor down from a 12 to a 2, why don't they do something about that idiotic (On*Star?) antenna that every GM vehicle seems to have? Not only is it huge and ugly, but it's also invariably right on the front of the car, and it is always placed in such a way that it looks as though it's not intentionally asymetric, but is almost trying to be centered. Either make it way over on one side or another, or put it smack dab in the middle. Kinda-sorta putting it off to one side just looks like an error.
At any rate, it's stupid and hideous, and On*Star sucks anyway (yeah, I don't care that it's in some Acuras, it sucks there too).

That front end is hideous. Looks like they had three design engineers come up with a design without allow them to talk to one another and then the piece mealed the front, middle and rear together from each of them. Other than that, it's not bad.

I seemed to have dropped out of the coupe target buyer group. Coupes generally are not sporty enough to be my fun car and don't offer enough utility to be the grocery getter/home depot car.
This one still looks better than past ones but if they have to keep one of the styling gimmicks, the spoiler is far less offensive than the hood scoops.

Perfect for Detroit die-hard fans. They deserve each other.
If all you are going to do is bash someone's taste without even saying why you like or dislike it why bother posting?
