I dont care how spectacular the car is. I cant see people spending 100k on a Nissan for long periods of time.
looks the same to me. i guess i'm no porsche connoisseur though. the article says they've remodeled every 3-4 years...to me it's pretty much had the same design for the last x number of decades...

I can't imagine most people looking at a GTR would care how much power the $130K 911 turbo has while it is possible to me a 911 Turbo buyer would look at a GTR (and save a cool $60K could be spent on a yact or whatever).
you'd have to be blind to not see the GTR is near-911 turbo performance for $60K less.
And rated power is one thing but performance is another, if the GTR is getting 3.3 sec or maybe better (?) then it's very close or faster than a 911 Turbo.
Edit: (I susect) Porsche will be offering generous discounts (dare I dream in the neighborhood of $10K or more off?) which coupled with greater availibility and possible mark-ups on the GTR could cause the price gap to be less.
IDK, but at the price the turbo is asking now $130K (?) it should have standard ceramic brakes (don't know if it has or not).

I haven't looked at Porsche lately, but I get e-mail from the Corvette dealership all the time with $6K ot $10K off the Vettes.
Can only imagine with the soft economy and housing market the deals will get better before they get worse. Not to mention $3/gal gas.
