Default potholes and such

does anyone think there is something wrong with there alignment or rim every time you hit a nice pothole or something of that nature?

i used to have a 2000 civic si back in the days and i had some milie miglia rims that would bend on anything.

even till this day i have this thing where everytime i hit something i think my rims are bent or my alignment is off.....

does anyone have this problem? after i hit something, even if there is nothing wrong. i keep on thinking something is wrong...but im not sure if it is or not....and it bothers me like crazy!!!!

That happened to me once, where I thought something was odd after hitting a curb, but convinced myself I was just being paranoid.

Then when I got new tires, it turned out I had bent a rim.

yes, I have that prob. I used to have a wimpy car so every hole can break my parts.

15 years later I still worry about hitting bumps in a car with much heavier suspension parts.

Do us all a favor:

When you see a hole, call it in. I love to see the streets department work crew fixing a hole I reported.

Yes, I'm paranoid for a few Ks after every big 'bang' the suspension takes, and here in Greece, that's a lot.

To add insult to injury, the word pothole intimates there might be pot in it. So far I've been consistently disappointed.

At least it would make the triennial suspension replacement less painful.

I think stock rims take a pretty good beating. Non-stockers seem to get beat up real fast, specially if its low pros.

Never had a problem with my old cars on bending rims, and in hawai the potholes are terrible because of the rain.

always ran stock rims, except for the S..got some 5Zigs, but they seem to be pretty heavy/durable

yes, call it in....i guess to your local dot. in some states and in some cases, they will reimburse you since they're responsible for covering up those potholes. i never knew about that when i hit a huge pothole and bent my stock wheel. i drove back there the next day to check out how big the hole was because it was night time when it originally happened. drove back and it was covered already. bastards!
