All motor unless the motor simply doesn't take well to NA power gains...then turbo.

I would prefer to focus on NA power, excellent handling dynamics and keeping the weights reasonably light while maintaining some creature comforts.

All motor until you have the low-end torque that you want, then drop turbos on to give you the HP you desire. Keeps the turbo lag down, gives you great low-end power, and still has the power for top-end track running.

The only thing forced induction on a small displacement motor will give you is a nice PEAK HP number and a bootfull of turbo lag.

<edit> Should've put "turbo" in there for "forced induction" above... Most 'chargers doesn't have any lag....

All motor! But if I had to get some serious power out of a tiny engine with littlest budget I'd have to go turbo!

Centrifugal blower. Ive owned one before, and this car is getting one within the next week or so. I love the mad, ever increasing rush to redline.

My old car was a front driver with a powerdyne blower running 9 pounds of boost. You got on it in second at 2k rpms, and it would accelerate, and then roast the wheels while rolling at 5k rpms. God, that was fun. Nothing like seeing a green taurus lighting them up from a roll.

Pakisho, are you talking about your SHO? If so, was it stock?

Sure sounds like fun!

Alex, correct, this is my sho i was talking about. 370fwhp out of a stock looking taurus. If you looked closely, you realized it was a little lower than ordinary, and the brakes were more suited to a porsche than a taurus.

It was a stock 3.0 liter motor, with the blower, extrude honed intake manifold, 80MM maf, chip, big bore butterflies, oversize throttle body...all the intake boltons. It had a borla exhaust which was nice and quiet, and little to give it away. It had an hks blow off valve, which was just about the only compromise that was made re: sleeper status. It had a completely redone suspension, and any and every other thing you could imagine necessary to support the power. It had a quaife limited slip diff which was pretty damn exciting........accelerating in a straight line would make the car get all wormy as the quaife hunted for traction. I scared the hell out of my friends the first time I took them for a ride.....4 people in the car, accelerating in second, and it looked to them like I had lost control when the boost hit.

I blew the doors off a few M3s, a porsche 911 (that was a lot of fun!), chased a bpu supra and scared the life out of him...he thought his car was broke. Lots of cars would get two cars on my at the launch, and then see me run them down and scream by. I got stopped and asked what the hell was in it almost every time I got into a stoplight drag. Good times. I need to post pics of that thing sometime.
