Apparently you are... please explain how given $500k to buy CARS with, you arrive at a boat and down payment on a house?
Farva: It doesn't matter cause I'm going to win ten million dollars.
Thorny: What are you going to do with ten million dollars, and you can't say buy the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Farva: I'd buy a ten million dollar car.
Thorny: That's fine I'd still pull you over.
Farva: Bull Shit. You couldn't pull me over, and even if you did I'd activate my car's wings and I'd fly away.
[Farva pulls off ticket from cup and pop spills all over him from the hole behind the ticket]
Farva: Stupid burger punk.

I've always loved cars and since they are generally the second biggest investment after one's home, I believe in keeping them in as good of condition as reasonably possible. It frosts the hell out of me to see gravel flying off trucks and pot holes beating the piss out my $35k cars. I track my S2000 and I believe cars are made to be driven but the things outside my control do bug me. I can't imagine how painful it would be to drive up behind a construction truck spilling out gravel (just happened four days ago to me) and have that happening to a car valued over $100k. Worrying about where I could drive it or park it would be a pain as well.
So in that sense Chris, I agree with you about keeping things simple. That's why I only listed one car over $100k.

[QUOTE=Chris Stack,Mar 28 2006, 03:48 PM]Because naming what I'd actually spend my $500k on is, to me, more interesting than just naming three of the most expensive cars I can think of from recent rap videos, but haven't ever even seen in real life.

Fun:
Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - $70,000
Lotus Exige - $55,000
Mazda Spec Miata - $20,000
Ford F350 + Enclosed Trailer - $60,000
Daily:
BMW M5 - $90,000
Utility:
Toyota 4Runner - $35,000
..and for the lady:
Infiniti G35 Coupe - $35,000
Total: $365,000
That's way more than enough. I simply don't have a use for $500k in cars, as the exotics don't really appeal to me. They're neat, but.. the Lotus and Vette are going to be more fun at the track than the average F-car or P-car. I'd eventually use the extra cash to step up to SCCA Formula Mazda.

I've seen plenty of rap video cars around here. 2-3 CGTs, 1 Enzo, several Continental GTs, 1-2 F1s, several S/SL65s, 1 or 2 Maybachs, a couple Nobles, etc.
No Paganis or Koenigseggs though.
