Default Prowler II

I'm starting a rumor that Chrysler is going to resurrect the Prowler with an SRT8 version. I like the looks of the original car, it was just gutless with the 6 cyl. IMHO it would make a very nice cruiser with the SRT Hemi. Performance would be impressive. Thoughts?

It screams "I am over 60 and trying to relive my American Graffiti days".

Even with a hemi V8.

Funny story about the Prowler. Back in 2001 I went on a date with this girl and parked the car next to a Prowler. We get seated at a window and can see the cars. I ask the girl if she thought the car looked as badly as I thought it did and then go on to say how owners must have some desparate need for attention to buy that over priced, under preforming ugly car. The table sitting next to us who have not said a thing to each other since we sat down were done eating and left. What car do they get into? THE PROWLER.... I felt like such an ASS.

LOL, good story.

I never thought much of the Prowler, mostly because of the engine, but also admittedly because I'm more of a GM guy when it comes to American makes. Plus, Plymouth made no such cars in the 1930s, so it was entirely a car with no historical reference for the company.

Would I buy a hemi one? No.

BTW NDAZONE, you in fact have a "hemi" in that 300ZX.

YES absolutely in a heartbeat. I loved my prowler, great cruising car, just like some of my old 30's-40's rods but with non of the headache in keeping them running.

Was a stunning car and I will buy a SRT version if they come out and are under say 55K. My 99 sold for something like 100K when it was new because fo the crazy markup.
