Did you order one, then? If so, what did you order? I looked at a sedan at the dealership and really liked it (haven't driven it yet, though).

I have test driven all three 3-series engines 230hp, 300hp (turbo) and 414hp V8
the turbo is great and many people are saying the M3 is not worth the extra cost.
I went with the V8 mainly for the "no regrets". I also went crazy with options including the DSG. I figure if it's good I want to keep it so I want all my features. If it's not good (mainly if its not reliable) than I'll sell it when the warranty is over.
But the 335i is really a good car IMO.

Congratulations! I would take the M3 over the 335i if only I could afford one.
It's much more a drivers car in so many ways.
It's much more a drivers car in so many ways.it's really the V8 engine to pay for. It's probably a gift and a curse, likely the turbo is much more tunable, and uses less gas and will be cheaper to replace (tho I don't say anything BMW is going to be cheap).
My test drive showed the V8 to be about equal to the turbo up to 6000 rpms but then I didn't go to any higher on the new engine which is not broken in so the extra third of the rpms to come. Also likely the V8 is more responsive no lag at all being both larger and NA has it's benifits but pays at the pump. People are seeing 15-17 mpg average
