I may be wrong, but I believe that the S2000 also has a similar limit on the total weight of the load (driver + passenger + whatever's in the trunk). Someone with an owner's manual handy should do a quick check. 400lbs sounds about right for the S2000 as well. 

I have one. 58,000 trouble free miles. LMPG= 54.7. Great for the highway and gets over three times the gas milage of our SUV. Made it from Boise to Fresno (750 miles) on 15 gallons of gas at 75- 80 MPH.
