R32
i guess i can go do some research on all those little this and that about s2000
and make mys2000lemon.com.
s2000 sucks, then, yea?
i agree with Sueng.
I am sure some S2000's have gotten the lemon law.....
if you extrapolate how few S2000's were sold vs lemoned and compare that to the number of VW's sold vs lemoned, I would guess that the S2000 would not do so well.
---------------------------
according to last week's Autoweek, one of the guys said he probably chose R32 for a daily driver over the Evo due to the choppy ride...... I think he also said that the Evo and STI were definately more fun except as a daily driver.

All manufacturers have "lemons", but Audi's are marketed to a different clientele than value-consious prospective VW owners are. I worked for Hoffman Audi/Porsche here and i know they are great cars and are selling like hot-cakes! In 3 years they had to hire 2 more parts personell, one more service advisor and 4 technicians just to keep up with the service/warantee work.My room-mate has a TT convert, all wheel drive and 225hp on tap is pretty sweet.
Even time mag says VW suck!

everyone i know that has a VW / audi seem to need to bring it into the dealer min once every 3 months for something that broke.
after 100k miles, expect to be replacing parts constantly too.. little stuff but its a pain in the ass.
in general u have to schedule an appointment to get ur german car serviced because they are usually booked.
with jap cars u just bring it in. always free time slots to get your car worked on.

IMO the R32 offers a better all around package than either the EVO or the STi. It is much more luxurious, refined, comfortable (best seats ever), has better utility (hatch vs. non-folder rear seats) and doesn't look Fast & Furious. It is still quick and handles well.
It's a good buy for anyone who doesn't care about being the fastest thing on the road, y0! (haven't we learned that there's ALWAYS something faster?)

This morning on my way to work there was an Audi A4 on fire.... kind of odd.... i think the interior was actually on fire...like maybe the driver dropped her cigarette or something.? I didn't see anything from under the hood...... but I didn't want to rubberneck either......
I think with the older VWs (mid 90's) you either got a great car that ran forever, or a heap of shit that was always in the shop.....

I agree with you mostly because it is being marketed as a performance car, but that not withstanding, I see a niche in the market for something between the STi/EVO on one extreme, and cars like the TSX is IS300 on the other extreme. Something for those that want a little bit of everything.
